The Toughest Lightweight Gloves
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 70% of all work-related hand injuries are a direct result of workers not wearing gloves. When asked why workers don’t wear their gloves, the top three complaints were:
- Lack of Dexterity
- No Tactile Sensitivity
Clearly, comfort is an important aspect in getting workers to put their gloves on. But dexterity and tactile sensitivity are also critical to keeping gloves on through the day. If the gloves don’t allow your workers to feel and move comfortably, they’re more likely to remove them for some tasks. And once a glove comes off, it’s all too easy to leave it off.
Luckily, technology has advanced to the point that some of the highest performing products for cut and abrasion protection are also some of the thinnest, most comfortable products available. These new lightweight glove options fit like a second skin and allow maximum flexibility.
We took a look at the glove market and chose the heavyweight champs in lightweight hand protection.
